Well, this is my final project for my Illustration class. The scanner didn't capture the colors very well but 
I think this took me around six hours to paint over the span of four days....but I really can't remember....lack of sleep will do that to you
Anywho....this is a cover idea for Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn. This was and still is one of my favorite novels. I think the first time that I read this was when I was eight or nine. My brother had just read The Hobbit and I wanted to prove that I can read a book that was WAY over my reading level too
When the project came around to do the cover for a book from our childhood--or any book if you didn't have a favorite book back then--and this was the first thing to pop into my head.
I think I'll eventually redo this in the computer...I'm not very good with Acrylics--which is the medium that I used--but at I least I'm giving them a shot! :laugh:
